Israel Tennis Centers National Girls Teams
About the program
Through the discipline of tennis the Israel Tennis Centers strive to improve the lives of children in one of the most conflicted regions of the world.
By teaching the life skills of self-reliance, perseverance and focus, the ITC fosters sustainable values of self-esteem, character and tolerance, creating a positive imprint on the children, their families, the communities and the world for generations to come.
Empowering girls through Tennis
Within the Israel Tennis Centers, we sponsor the High Performance Girls Tennis Teams. The teams consist of the Top 60 Israeli Female Tennis players at the ITC ranging in age from 10 to 17 years old.
The ITC Girls tennis teams are designed not only to hone athletic skills but also to empower young women through the development of leadership and personal growth. They strive to build confidence and resilience, fostering an environment where teamwork and effective communication are paramount. By engaging young women in a structured, supportive setting, these teams aim to reduce dropout rates. The focus on leadership development helps participants become role models both on and off the court, equipping them with the skills necessary for academic success and lifelong achievement. The program is managed by top tennis coaches from the ITC.
As you today, 10 years after it started, many past participants have received scholarships in sports in US universities playing tennis and have leadership roles in the many fields.
