Alex Dembitzer

For several decades, Alex Dembitzer has worked as a real estate developer and investor.

With his private real estate company, Sky Management, LLC, and independently, he has brought his creative thinking and entrepreneurial expertise to properties across the United States.

Career

Alex Dembitzer was born in New York City and attended the prestigious public Stuyvesant High School.

At the age of 19, he graduated from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. Immediately after his graduation in 1981, he entered the world of real estate, and by the age of 23 he was already working as a property developer and owner.

Today, Alex is the owner of office buildings, industrial and flex properties, government facilities, and residential complexes throughout the US.

In 2010, Dembitzer founded Sky Management Services services, LLC, a private real estate company that he manages in addition to his independent investments. Sky specializes in purchasing and adding value to existing properties, while continuing to develop new properties for its own account. The company’s executive offices are in New York and Philadelphia, with property holdings in those cities and in other large metro areas including Baltimore/Washington, Charlotte, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Sky has even developed critical public installations, including facilities for the Department of Homeland Security and the US General Service Administration.

In the past few years, under Alex’s direction, Sky Management Services has expanded into renewable energy: a decision that Alex sees as both good for business and good for the earth. Sky oversees more than 100 grid-connected solar plants, with several more ambitious projects on the way with Sky Power company.

Personal Life

Alex’s wife Rosa grew up in Costa Rica and graduated from the University of Chicago with a degree in economics in 1988. She continued to receive a master’s degree in Environmental Planning from New York City’s Pratt Institute for Design.

In 2010, they moved to Israel, where they currently reside. The family enjoys hiking, biking, fitness activities, and travel.

For many years, the Dembitzer family has been active in a variety of philanthropic causes, volunteering their time, money, and effort to help the sick and needy. In 2007, they decided to establish Northern Charitable Foundation, Inc., in order to give back to the community on a larger scale. Together with Alex’s mother, Jacqueline Fried, and several of their business associates, the foundation partners with local charities across the United States and Israel to improve the lives of the disadvantaged and chronically ill.
